15" (38 cm.) l. 8"h. A bisque head boy with blue glass paperweight inset eyes has painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, brunette human hair, carton torso, wire upper arms and legs, bisque lower arms and legs, blue silk boots, and is wearing blue silk costume is attached to a metal rod which extends to also attach to two smaller bisque head dolls with silk costumes. The frame has three metal spoked wheels, which, when wound, cause the larger doll to rapidly "run", designed to appear as though the children are playing "giddy-up horsey". Condition: generally excellent, mechanism functions well. Comments: French, circa 1885. Value Points: rare little doll with amusing activity, in well-preserved condition.
