9" (23 cm.) Carved wooden head with black painted pate, carved and tinted facial features, cloth body and legs, wooden lower arms. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Door of Hope Mission, circa 1910, a folded paper inside costume reads "boy in silk". Value Points: the young boy wears original blue silk tunic with cotton lining, silk vest with frog closures, cotton pants, embroidered silk slippers and vibrant purple cap with pom-pom.
