13" (33 cm.) Earthenware head depicting expressively featured man with sculpted hair and beard,enamel eyes,well defined ears,hemp-wrapped body,earthenware hands with sculpted fingers and legs. Condition: generally excellent,one broken finger. Comments: Neopolitan,early 1800s. Value Points: most expressive details of eyes and teeth,scraggle detailed hair and beard,and wearing rough linen costume with detailed stitching,bound shoes,wooden walking stick,leather satchel,and along with a sculpted earthenware mountain goat with enamel eyes and long horns.
