Theriault’s May 2021 Marquis Auction is a veritable library of dolls, each waiting to turn the page for the next chapter in its life. Outstanding selections ranging from a superb early English wooden doll with trousseau (ex-collection Rosalie Whyel Museum of Doll Art) to a fabulous trio of tiny French bisque Bébé Brus, sizes 0, 1, and 2, along with their tiny cousin, Bébé A.T. A fine American Izannah Walker doll is featured along with other mid-1800s dolls including fine porcelain dolls by KPM. There are automata, rare German character dolls, dollhouse furnishings, outstanding French bisque poupées, and fine all-bisque miniature dolls, more than 500 dolls in the two-day event.
