August 1, 2004 in Kansas City, MO
In some little corners of our collective memories, we conjure the simple summer picnic. A peanut butter picnic where you take your sandwich and go down the road looking for buried treasure. This sandwich is a childhood natural, that you could fix it yourself was empowering. So, in homage to childhood and our celebration of objects of childhood, we celebrate its symbols: dolls, playthings – and peanut butter picnics. Featured are antique bisque dolls, Bleuettes, fashions and American-composition dolls. 8.5" x 11". Softbound. 120 full-color pages.
