16" (41 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead with plump facial modeling, cobalt blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, unpierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at hips and knees, one piece arms, stitched and separated fingers, antique red silk gown with handmade lace, undergarments, leather slippers, and with coral necklace and bracelets. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, Barrois, circa 1865. Value Points: brilliant blue eyes dramatize the delicate complexion, sturdy original body and lovely antique costume.
