Description
27" (69 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, blonde brushstroked boyish hair with forelock details, blue painted eyes, painted short curly upper lashes, dark eyeliner, feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth modeled as though open, with defined tongue, outlined lips, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Germany K&H (in banner) 548 15. Comments: Kley and Hahn, circa 1912. Value Points: rare variation of the wonderfully sculpted large character, with painted eyes and hair, grand chubby body, choice bisque with impressed dimples, fine antique costume.
