Description
18" (46 cm.) Ash-blonde hair with curled bangs and hair drawn back into two clusters of curls at the back of her head, walking-style body. Wearing tagged costume comprising slate blue faille taffeta gown with side panniers and bustle delicately outlined with narrow white silk braid, delicate tulle sleevelets, tulle hooped taffeta petticoat, panties, stockings, black suede-like snap-front shoes, elaborate "tiny hat of starched white lace with a top-knot of roses and forget-me-nots" (as described in the Alexander catalog) tied with fuchsia streamers, velvet fuchsia reticule, "diamond" earrings. Near mint condition, one earring missing. Madame Alexander, the portrait model "Victoria", #2030C, 1954; the series was described in the Alexander catalog as "portrait dolls of charm and distinction with miniature portrait dolls to match...Each doll a gem of perfection".
