Description
The one-piece gown of horizontally-ribbed white pique has dart-shaped fitted bodice extending into flared sides, and with slight bustle back and demi-train. There is a rounded collar with scalloped cutwork edging, and wide bands of broderie anglaise at the sleeve edges and hem; handmade button holes and pearl buttons form the closure. Included is a white woven bonnet trimmed with blue silk and velvet ribbons and streamers, and a border of berries and leaves, with original muslin lining. To fit 13" lady doll. 3 1/2" shoulder width, 8" waist. 10" overall length. Circa 1865.
