16" (41 cm.) Pale bisque head with flat-cut neck socket on bisque shoulderplate designed to allow the head to turn realistically side to side (but not completely revolve), brilliant cobalt blue glass eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with accented lips, un-pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at elbows, hips and knees, stitched and separated fingers. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose E 3 B. Comments: Barrois, circa 1860. Value Points: brilliant cobalt blue eyes accentuate the delicate bisque, rare neck swivel, maker's signature, wearing beautiful early gown with extended train, undergarments, leather boots, bonnet.
