21" (53 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose-blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth, defined space between heart-shaped outlined lips, defined chin dimple, separately-modeled pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Depose Jumeau 9 (incised and artist's checkmarks, head) Jumeau Medaille d'or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1884, the model was made for one or two years only. Value Points: among the rarer Jumeau models, with exemplary bisque and painting, original wig, original body and body finish, beautiful early costume.
