12" (30 cm.) l. 9"h. Of bronze and gilded metal with panels of enameled porcelain, the royal coach has superb framing with detailed scrolling of wheels, elaborate accent trim including gargoyles and rampant horses, as well as torch holders, curved front, driver's seat which also serves as a hinged box, and another hinged trunk box at the back for the footmen. The roof hinges up to reveal the fitted interior, also for use as a treasure box. There are 15 separate enameled panels with splendid scenes in the 18th century manner surrounded by decorative borders. Excellent condition. Austria, late 1800s, an outstanding example of the enameled porcelain works perfected in Vienna at that time.
