16" (41 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, pale blue glass enamel inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, lightly-feathered brows, accented nostrils of aquiline nose, closed mouth with upturned lip corners in an enigmatic smile, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig with original ringlet curls and braided detail, cork pate, kid poupee body with square cut collarette and gusset-jointing at hips and knees, wooden arms with dowel articulation at shoulders, elbows and wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: E. (head and shoulders). Comments; Leon Casimir Bru, his deposed model with smiling expression, circa 1872. Value Points: the beautiful lady has original wig, original body with wooden articulated arms, and is wearing exquisite ivory satin gown with pearl beaded trim, undergarments, leather boots.
