12" (30 cm.) Polychromed shoulderhead turned to the left, modeled bosom, sculpted white bonnet with gathered back and having brown sculpted hair framing the face and forming into frivolous curls in front of her ears, enamel eyes, mouth modeled as though open with painted teeth and tongue tip, tow-wrapped armature body, carved wooden arms and legs, painted blue stockings, black painted shoes, wearing original silk costume with handmade lace and gilt braid trim, lined silk apron with metallic trim, carrying woven basket with goods. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid/late 1700s, rarity factors include well-detailed bonnet, eyes and mouth.
