Description
18" (8 cm.) The columnar-shaped parlor stove of heavyweight tinplate has brass splayed feet, brass-fronted drawer for coals, various brass trims including drying rods, carrying handles and edging, original chimney, and adjustable flue, and has its original wooden-handled brass teapot which rests upon the single burner. Excellent condition. Very rare early toy-size stove whose intricate design suggests its original production as salesman's sample. French, mid-1800s.
