24" (61 cm.) Bisque shoulderhead with oval shaped face and elongated throat, brown sculpted hair with braided loop at the forehead encircling a large Dresden flower and leaves, and with braided coronet at the crown and looped braids at the back of her head, blue glass inset eyes, delicately-painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, sculpted Dresden collar with blue and magenta painted accents, muslin stitch-jointed body with sewn-on stockings and shoes, leather arms. Condition: some minor chipping to leaves on headdress, significant chipping of Dresden accents on bodice. Comments: Germany, circa 1875. Value Points: very rare hair design with elaborate styling, glass eyes, wonderful antique costume.
