Description
5" (13 cm.) Each has bisque shoulder head, the larger with blue glass enamel eyes, painted features, closed mouth, blonde mohair wig, muslin stitch-jointed body, bisque lower arms, painted black ankle boots, wearing beautiful cream and blue silk costume and bonnet. The smaller doll has blonde sculpted hair, painted blue eyes, closed mouth, muslin body, bisque forearms and lower legs, painted three strap ankle boots, wearing blue and ivory silk sailor costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 4/0 H (lady). Comments: Germany, circa 1880. Value Points: very fine artistry on the diminutive dollhouse sized dolls.
