18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, plump cheeks and full throat, brown glass inset eyes, delicately-painted lashes and brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with outlined lips, unpierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, all-wooden body with swivel waist, jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees, and ankles. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Adelaide Huret, circa 1869, on later era Huret body. Value Points: beautiful poupee wearing early gown in superb condition, probably from the workshops of Huret or Mlle Bereaux, although unsigned, and with early undergarments, bonnet, stockings, and ankle slippers in the Huret style.
