Description
4 1/2" (11 cm.) One-piece all-bisque head of impish figure modeled to appear as popping from an egg shell that serves as its costume, round face, topknot, side-glancing painted googly eyes, impish smile, painted white egg-shell dress with blue trim, modeled indentation for waist designed for placement of cloth ribbon, arms outstretched. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Germany, Seyfarth & Reinhardt, the model is identical to other examples with original paper label reading "Elfie Reg. No 630902 33795", attributed to Seyfarth & Reinhardt who registered trademarks for Our Fairy and Elfe [sic] in 1922. Value Points: very rare Kewpish type figure with wonderful detail.
