Description
Of fine pin-striped brown silk, the intricately-constructed gown has a rounded neckline, fitted bodice with V-shaped center ruched panel, pagoda sleeves with fringed ruffle edging, set-in waist band and very full skirts. A graduated width shawl with ruffled fringe edging (to match the sleeves) is attached to each side shoulder, criss-crosses over the bodice and extends to the back of the gown to form long streamers. There are tiny loops and little buttons at the back. To fit 15" doll. 3" shoulder width. 7" waist. 11" overall. Circa 1860.
