Bisque socket head with very plump cheeks and chin, brown glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with sculpted row of teeth between the outlined pale lips, brunette hand-tied human hair wig over plaster pate, composition and wooden early body with attached ball joints and straight wrists, wearing lovely antique costume including cutwork dress, undergarments, leather rosette shoes, brown woolen coat, and fancy velvet bonnet. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 14. Comments: Kestner, circa 1882. Value Points: rare model with modeled teeth, original body and body finish, finest bisque and painting, the model closely resembles the circle/dot bebe of Bru whose market this doll sought to capture.
