Description
12" (30 cm.) One-piece carved wooden head and shapely torso, sculpted hair with deep combmarks swept loosely backward into a looped chignon with red bow, enamel eyes, closed mouth, aquiline nose, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees, painted black shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Continental, early 1800s. Value Points: very fine detail of sculpting enhanced by original finish, original costume with gilt metallic threads.
