Description
17" (43 cm.) All composition with socket head and five piece body, sleep eyes, mohair lashes, original blonde mohair wig in ringlet curls. Marks: Shirley Temple (head) Shirley Temple (torso). Condition: generally excellent, slight eye fading. Comments: wearing original red cotton plaid dress with red bow tie, one-piece undergarment, socks and shoes inspired by her performance of "On the Good Ship Lollipop" in the 1934 film "Bright Eyes"; the dress has an original non-NRA rayon label. Included with the doll is her original trunk with decals depicting her original films, and a bounty of 1930s vintage costumes, mostly in the Molly-e mode and including one other Lollipop dress by Ideal. Ideal, circa 1935, her red dress has NRA-rayon label.
