Description
20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head with oval-shaped face depicting an older child, almond-shaped blue glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, lightly feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with firmly-set lips accented with center accent line, blonde mohair ringlet curled wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, lovely antique dress, undergarments, ankles boots. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 111. Comments: attributed to Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1912, this likely being the missing 111 model from their art character series. Value Points: the extremely rare model has finest quality of bisque and painting, original body and body finish in especially fine state of preservation, wonderful antique wig and costume, and compelling wistful expression.
