The firm-sided papeterie with embossed brown leather cover has gilt lettering "Papeterie" and hinges open to fitted interior with various papers and stationery along with, curiously, a miniature leather bound book of Shakespeare's Merchant of Venice. Excellent condition. French, circa 1870.
