18" (46 cm.) Bisque socket head, painted facial features, heavy-lidded painted blue eyes with upper eyeliner, one-stroke tapered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with very full lips in solemn expression, center accent line, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, 1/4" firing line at back crown rim, few wig pulls, light nose rub. Marks: K*R 101 46. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1910, from their firm's art character reform series, the model marketed as "Marie". Value Points: enchanting expression, the little girl has original body and body finish, and is wearing factory original costume, and is carrying 10" early German mohair teddy bear with black shoe button eyes, attributed to Steiff.
