Pressed bisque socket head with deeply-defined features and delicate complexion, blue glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, brush-stroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with beautifully-sculpted and shaded lips, dimpled chin, pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: F. 16 G. Comments: Gaultier, circa 1882, the grand size 16 model was created as an exhibition model. Value Points: few examples of the grand size 16 are known to exist, this model complemented by finest bisque, painting, and sculpting, original body and body finish, and superb original rose silk costume, bonnet, undergarments, slippers.
