15" (38 cm.) The wooden trunk with domed top and cast iron handles is decorated with brass-encircled porcelain buttons, and is decorated on the interior with lithographed and embossed gold paper on the inside lid and surrounding the lift-out tray. Excellent condition. Mid-1800s.
