Description
22" (55 cm.) Bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes, dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, feathered brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth with outlined lips, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body. Condition: generally excellent, original body with especially fine original finish. Marks: K*R Simon & Halbig 117 55. Comments: Kammer and Reinhardt, circa 1912, their model marketed as Mein Liebling. Value Points: very beautiful example of the beloved doll, with choice bisque and painting, original wig, body, body finish, original multi-layered antique costume with matching lace trim. The doll appeared on the cover of Theriault's June 1980 auction catalog, and has remained in the collection of the winning bidder for the past 38 years, until this time.
