17" (43 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, cobalt blue glass enamel eyes, painted lashes and feathered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, accented lips, ears pierced into head, original blonde mohair wig over cork pate, all-wooden poupee body with dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, and knees, antique undergarments and leather boots included, with silk costume in the French manner. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 4 (head) A La Poupee de Nuremberg...Lavallee-Peronne Paris...(original paper label). Comments: the poupee was presented in the doll boutique "A La Poupee de Nuremberg" owned by Madame Lavalle-Peronne, described in La Poupee Modele as a "dollmaker of exquisite taste"; she presented her poupee as Lily, considering it her signature work. Value Points: rare to find with boutique label, the poupee has near mint original wooden body with extra articulations, original label, beautiful face with choice bisque.
