Hand-pressed bisque shoulderhead of young girl with sculpted short blonde bobbed hair with curly bangs, painted blue outlined eyes, delicately painted facial features, closed mouth with row of painted tiny teeth, cloth body with jointing at shoulders and hips, bisque lower arms, original dimity dress, undergarments. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Martha Thompson "Lulie" 1955. Comments: Martha Thompson, 1955, the unique tiny doll is a portrait of legendary early New England doll collector, Estelle Winthrop, made expressly for her. Value Points: rarity of the tiny doll is enhanced by its enchanting expression.
