Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead, brown sculpted hair in long thick flowing hair drawn from face into curls at nape, brown sculpted short beard and thin moustache, enamel eyes, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, carved stocking trim, wearing original luxury magenta silk costume comprising vest that is heavily encrusted with metallic embroidery and accented with faux emeralds and rubies, sash with lappets, matching long-tail jacket and fringed ivory silk faille lined floor-length cape, elaborate wrapped turban with large ruby medallion. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, mid-1700s, very fine sculpting especially for small model, outstanding costume.
