Description
8 1/2" (22 cm.) l. Of fine porcelain with light pink tinting, the nude lady is posed lying on stomach, her crossed ankles uplifted, and her head turned to the side as she rests upon her elbows, one finger pointing. She has sculpted grey hair with striated detail, looped braids forming into a chignon, and enhanced with a gilt headband with tiny turquoise beads, painted facial features with brown downcast eyes. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: (blue sceptre mark). Comments: Dressel and Kister, circa 1910. Value Points: rare larger size of the model with elegant pose, rare head band.
