20" (51 cm.) Solid domed bisque socket head, blonde brushstroked hair with modeling detail of forelock, brown glass sleep eyes, thick dark eyeliner, painted curly lashes, rounded nose with accent dots at nostrils, open mouth, outlined lips with decorative glaze, modeled suggestion of tongue, two porcelain upper teeth, composition and wooden ball-jointed toddler body with side-hip jointing. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: Hilda c. JDK Jr. 1914 Ges Ges N. 1070 Made in Germany 16. Comments: Kestner, circa 1914. Value Points: very choice bisque and painting, fabulous body with chubby tummy, well-modeled muscles and baby fat in limbs, curled fingers.
