Description
24" (61 cm.) Bisque socket head, painted facial features, dark blue upper-glancing eyes with dark thick upper eyeliner, one-stroke tapered brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with defined teeth, accented lips, dimpled chin, brunette mohair wig, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, fine antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 151 S&H 4 (head) Heinrich Handwerck (body). Comments: Simon and Halbig from their art-reform character series, circa 1910. Value Points: the smiling-face boy model has wonderful definition of dimples and laughter lines, and fine quality of bisque, original body and body finish, especially rare in this larger size.
