20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, rose-blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked and feathered brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with daintily-shaded lips, separately-modeled pierced ears, brunette mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 8/EJ (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1882. Value Points: earlier version of Jumeau's first signature bebe with finest most delicate bisque, dainty decoration, original body and body finish.
