21" (53 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass paperweight inset eyes with luminous depth, dark eyeliner encircles the eye sockets, painted lashes, brushstroked and feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with defined space between the shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French kid bebe body with square-cut collarette, gusset-jointing at hips, knees and elbows, bisque forearms with sculpted fingers in expressive pose, defined knuckles and nails. Condition: generally excellent, body very sturdy and fresh. Marks: A. 9 T. (head and shoulders). Comments: Andre Thuillier, circa 1880. Value Points: an exceptionally beautiful bebe from the early period of the illustrious maker with choicest bisque and painting, splendid eyes, original very sturdy body and perfect bisque hands, wearing lovely antique ivory silk dress, undergarments, bonnet, stockings, and black leather shoes with rosettes signed "A.T. 9". Provenance: Lucy Morgan Collection. This was the last doll added to the Kralovetz Collection.
