13" (33 cm.) All-wooden doll with one-piece head and torso, oval face and elongated throat, sculpted facial features, deeply set eye sockets with painted dark eyes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, closed mouth, brunette hair under original tacked-on wig, wooden body has swivel waist, dowel-jointing at shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips and knees in the manner of artist's mannequin dolls. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: French, mid-1800s. Value Points: hand-carved doll with articulated body is wearing her original regional costume with details including fine matching necklace and earrings.
