28" (71 cm.) Bisque socket head with elongated face and very full cheeks, very deep blue glass paperweight eyes with darker blue outer rims, dark eyeliner, dark painted curly lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils, slightly-parted outlined lips, two square-cut upper teeth and one lower, impressed dimple at philtrum and chin, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig, early composition and wooden fully-jointed body with straight wrists, antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S H 16 949. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1885. Value Points: outstanding quality of pale bisque with gleaming patina, splendid eyes, original body and body finish.
