Description
4.5" (11 cm.) Posed upon a porcelain garden path are four porcelain figures, including mother with chignon in rare brown color, holding little child in her arms. The gentleman with tophat, spectacles, formal frock, and parasol is leaning toward them, caressing the woman's chin and holding the child's hand as though in greeting; alongside is another child with smiling expression and large sunbonnet, her little doll fallen at her side as though dropped while she rushed to greet her papa. Excellent condition. Germany, circa 1860, very rare and finely crafted figural porcelain.
