20" (51 cm.) Bisque socket head with very delicate complexion, brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, mauve blushed eye shadow, brushstroked brows, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips, separately-modeled pierced ears, dimpled chin, auburn mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists, lovely lace dress, undergarments, leather shoes, woven bonnet. Condition: generally excellent, some light body retouch. Marks: 8 EJ (head) Jumeau Medaille d'Or Paris (body). Comments: Emile Jumeau, circa 1882, earliest presentation of the EJ signature model. Value Points: very beautiful delicate complexion contrasts the rich brown eyes.
