Description
14" (36 cm.) Bisque socket head with flattened solid dome, dark blue glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted dark curly lashes, feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils, closed mouth with accent line between the lips, blonde lambswool wig, composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body. Condition: chips and reglue low on neck socket, otherwise excellent. Comments: Germany, attributed to Grossman, circa 1882, who deposed this early composition body. Value Points: especially beautiful doll with original early body, antique maroon velvet costume with silk fringe, undergarments, woven bonnet with burgundy ribbons.
