16" (41 cm.) The paper mache bull dog has rough-textured painted finish in cream and black, with up standing ears, painted nose, hinged jaw with painted and sculpted teeth, leather diamond-point collar, hidden wheels under feet, and metal link chain. When pulled along, his mouth opens and closes, displaying a ferocious expression, and he growls in a menacing manner. Generally excellent. French, circa 1885.
