Description
18" (46 cm.) Bisque swivel head on kid-edged bisque shoulderplate, blue glass inset eyes with spiral threading and darker blue outer irises, painted lashes and brows, rose blushed eye shadow, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with center accent line, pierced ears, French kid poupee body with gusset-jointing at elbows, hips and knees. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 4 (head and shoulders) F.G. (shoulders). Comments: Gaultier, circa 1875. Value Points: the elegant lady with beautiful black velvet costume trimmed with lace and beading has especially sturdy body.
