12" (30 cm.) Bisque socket head with flattened solid dome, blue glass inset eyes, painted lashes, single-stroke brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accent line between the pale lips, unpierced ears, blonde mohair wig, composition and wooden eight loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists and painted white stockings with blue rims and black one-strap heeled shoes. Condition: generally excellent. Comments: Sonneberg, attributed to Ernst Grossman, circa 1885. Value Points: charming petite closed mouth doll with original distinctive body, wearing lovely antique dress of tulle with embroidered "petit-pois".
