12" (30 cm.) Polychromed terra cotta shoulderhead of peasant man with gaunt features, grey sculpted hair brushed to the side, with sideburns, moustache and scraggly beard, enamel eyes, pronounced nose, painted teeth, tow-wrapped posable armature body, carved wooden lower arms and legs, wearing brown homespun costume with laced tunic, breeches, long cape, cap, and carrying wooden farm tools. Excellent condition. Neapolitan, late 1700s.
