22" (56 cm.) Bisque socket head with elongated facial modeling, brown glass inset eyes, dark eyeliner, painted lashes, brushstroked brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth with accented downcast lips, pierced ears, brunette human hair, composition and wooden ball-jointed body, lovely antique costume. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: S 12 H 949. Comments: Simon and Halbig, circa 1890. Value Points: very fine modeling with deeply impressed dimples at philtrum and chin that delightfully contrast the pouting expression.
