25" (64 cm.) Pressed bisque socket head with pear-shaped modeling, very full cheeks, large brown glass paperweight inset eyes, dark eyeliner encircles the eye sockets, painted short dark lashes, mauve-blushed eyeshadow, brushstroked and multi-feathered brows, accented eye corners, shaded nostrils of pointy nose, closed mouth with shaded and outlined lips, pierced ears, blonde mohair wig over cork pate, French composition and wooden eight-loose-ball-jointed body with straight wrists and flat-cut derriere. Condition: generally excellent. Marks: 4 SCH (in shield, on head and on derriere). Comments: Schmitt et Fils, circa 1884. Value Points: gorgeous bebe with superb quality of bisque and modeling, original body and body finish, wearing choice antique costume comprising of dress, undergarments, stockings, white leather boots, lush mohair coat with satin lining and pearl buttons, silk bonnet.
