15" (38 cm.) All-cloth doll with pressed and oil-painted facial features and brown hair which is pulled away from her face, behind her separately-stitched ears, into two tightly-coiled chignons at the back of her head, painted complexion and facial features including narrow blue eyes, white eyedots, black upper eyeliner, curly upper lashes, single stroke brows, accented nostrils and eye corners, closed mouth, and with original body with sateen torso cover having defined bosom, stitch-jointing at shoulders, elbows, hips and knees. Condition: near mint. Comments: Martha Chase, circa 1910, from her series of storybook characters. Value Points: perfectly-preserved doll with very rare hair style, separately-stitched ears, unusual body shaping complementing the slender adult lady face, preserved in her original labeled box.
