24" (61 cm.) Carved wooden shoulder head with rounded face and elongated throat, carved wooden curls with brown painted hair, scalloped curls framing the face, sculpted ears, painted facial features, sculpted eyes with brown painted irises and white eyedots, brushstroked brows, closed mouth, muslin stitch-jointed body, leather arms. Condition: original finish, nose point rubbed, repair to kid hands. Comments: Continental, early 1800s. Value Points: wonderful detail of hair carving on the rare-to-find doll.
